Mid Yorkshire Teaching NHS Trust has selected Nervecentre as its preferred supplier for a new Electronic Patient Record (EPR), marking an important step forward in the trust’s digital capabilities.
This partnership positions Mid Yorkshire as the eleventh acute trust to adopt Nervecentre’s cloud-native EPR, which is the country’s largest multi-tenant platform – now set to support nearly 14,000 beds and up to 10.5 million people.
The selection of Nervecentre strengthens the company’s presence in the North of England, where Harrogate and District recently began deploying its EPR, and York and Scarborough are planning to go live early next year.
Nervecentre was confirmed as the preferred bidder after scoring the highest in a rigorous competitive tender process.
Nervecentre’s cloud-native platform meets the real-world needs of hospitals, giving clinicians access to a full-breadth EPR on any device, anywhere, and always with the same class-leading experience. It supports safer, more efficient care by reducing duplication, improving access to information, and enabling hospitals to provide joined-up and responsive care.
Rob Birkett, Chief Digital Information Officer at Mid Yorkshire, said:
“Selecting Nervecentre as our preferred supplier is a significant step in moving us forward on our journey to implementing a new EPR system at Mid Yorkshire. A new EPR will be transformative for the Trust and will form the foundation of our digital strategy, on which we can really improve the care we provide our patients, in both our hospital and community services. This is a positive step forwards for all our teams across the entire Trust, empowering colleagues via better use of digital and data. We are looking forward to developing our relationship with Nervecentre as a key digital partner.”
Nervecentre CEO, Paul Volkaerts, said:
“We’re delighted to be selected as Mid Yorkshire’s preferred EPR supplier. This is an exciting moment for the trust, and we’re proud to partner with them on such an important transformation programme. Choosing Nervecentre demonstrates that trusts have real choice in the market, and that modern technology can make a tangible difference to both staff experience and patient care. We look forward to working closely with Mid Yorkshire to deliver an EPR that benefits clinicians and supports patients across the region.”
