Nervecentre appoint David Newey as Director of Transformation

Nervecentre are pleased to announce the appointment of David Newey as Director of Transformation, to drive our next phase of EPR implementation projects.

David Newey has joined Nervecentre from The Royal Marsden NHS Foundation Trust, where he has spent over six years delivering their digital strategy, most recently holding the position of Chief Information Officer. This valued experience, along with many years of knowledge from other digitally advanced industries, brings an exciting opportunity for David to pioneer forward digital healthcare technology within NHS hospitals.

In this new role, David will provide executive level support to steer forward new customer EPR projects and deployments.

David recently discussed that “The key to successful digital change within the NHS is true partnerships between commercial suppliers and clinical teams. Within that partnership there needs to be trust, integrity, empathy and a spark of innovation; all with the patient in mind. I believe that by taking my previous commercial and NHS experience to Nervecentre, I can help propel the digitisation of the NHS using their Next Generation EPR”.

Following the recent announcements that Nervecentre are preferred EPR supplier for Northampton General Hospitals NHS Trusts and Derby and Burton NHS Foundation Trust, Nervecentre CEO, Paul Volkaerts explained “We have been successfully moving forward in the EPR space in the UK and over the next 18 months our progression will further increase when we deploy our Next Generation EPR to our new NHS hospital contracts.

Paul continued “Having this new Director of Transformation role will focus on senior level transformation and performance for our new EPR contracts. We welcome David into this new role and I look forward to working together”.
