Last week marked an important milestone in the continued rollout of Nervecentre’s cloud and SaaS EPR platform. In the space of a few days, three organisations successfully went live: Cwm Taf Morgannwg University Health Board, East Sussex Healthcare NHS Trust, and Spire Healthcare.
For those involved in digital transformation, the significance of a go-live is well understood. It represents months of detailed planning, clinical engagement, testing, and coordination, all with a clear focus on safety and continuity of care. Delivering three go-lives successfully in parallel reflects the close collaboration between provider teams and Nervecentre and the increasing maturity of the delivery model.
Supporting care delivery across multiple organisations
With these latest deployments, eight healthcare providers are now live on the same cloud EPR platform. Collectively, more than 11,000 staff are using the system each day to support clinical decision-making, manage patient flow, and coordinate care. This level of scale is significant. It demonstrates how a shared digital platform can support multiple organisations simultaneously, while maintaining the performance, reliability, and safety that frontline services depend on. For NHS organisations, this approach offers a practical route to scaling digital capability, without each provider needing to build and maintain its own independent infrastructure.
Enabling consistency, resilience and continuous improvement
A shared EPR cloud platform provides a consistent foundation across organisations, supports standardised workflows where appropriate, and still allows flexibility for local needs. It also strengthens resilience, with providers benefiting from a platform designed to operate at scale. Importantly, it enables faster and more efficient adoption of new functionality. Enhancements can be delivered once and made available to all organisations, reducing duplication of effort and accelerating the spread of best practice.
A collaborative effort
The successful delivery of these go-lives reflects a significant collective effort. Clinical, operational, and digital teams across all three organisations worked closely with Nervecentre to ensure a safe and effective transition. That collaboration is critical at the point of go-live and in the ongoing optimisation and use of the system.
Looking ahead
As more organisations join Nervecentre’s cloud EPR platform, the opportunity to deliver shared benefits at scale will continue to grow.
This is not simply about deploying technology. It is about supporting frontline teams with reliable, scalable tools that help them deliver safe and effective care, while making the best use of NHS resources.
