Northampton General Hospital has completed a major new phase of its EPR programme, going live with the Patient Administration (PAS), Outpatients, and Investigations on Nervecentre’s cloud-native platform.
The latest deployment builds on the EPMA, Urgent and Emergency Care, and Patient Safety functionality that went live at the Trust in June 2025, bringing more of the patient journey together within Nervecentre and giving staff access to more of the information they need, all in one place.
The latest phase involved a significant data migration that achieved a 99.998% success rate. The Trust has also enabled new downstream systems as part of the programme, demonstrating how the EPR can connect with and support the wider digital environment.
For staff, bringing these capabilities together will make it easier to access and share information, helping teams work in a more connected way and providing a stronger digital foundation for the future.
That foundation will become increasingly important as the NHS moves towards more joined-up care across organisational boundaries. Flexible technology that can connect providers and services and make better use of information across the wider health and care system has an important role to play in supporting that ambition.
The latest go-live is also the result of months of hard work from clinical, operational and digital teams across Northampton General Hospital and Nervecentre. Their preparation, testing and commitment have been crucial to making the transition safely and successfully.
