Dr Charlotte Refsum, Director of Health Policy at the Tony Blair Institute for Global Change, will deliver a keynote address at Nervecentre’s landmark NHS event in London this November.
Taking place at 30 Euston Square on Wednesday, 11th November, the event will bring together senior NHS leaders to explore what comes next for digital healthcare.
Charlotte is a physician and health-policy expert. Her work focuses on harnessing the power of AI and other technologies to drive prevention, create more sustainable health systems and improve health outcomes globally.
At the Tony Blair Institute for Global Change, Charlotte leads work on the future of health and care, with a particular focus on the implications of AI, biotechnology and innovation for policy and health-system transformation. Her thought leadership contributes to debates on how governments can build more effective, equitable and resilient health systems.
Over the course of her career, Charlotte has worked in more than 25 countries to support the transformation of health systems globally.
Her keynote presentation, titled “Primary Care is a Platform, not a Place”, will form part of a day looking beyond frontline digitisation towards the next phase of NHS transformation.
Nervecentre will introduce the UK’s first single EPR for primary and secondary care, demonstrating how GPs, hospital teams and patients can work from one shared platform.
The event will also explore how AI and automation can be embedded directly within clinical workflows, helping the NHS improve productivity, support its workforce and deliver more sustainable models of care.
With the 10 Year Health Plan setting out major shifts from hospital to community and analogue to digital, the day will consider the technology and infrastructure needed to make those ambitions possible.
