Mid Yorkshire selects Nervecentre

Mid Yorkshire Teaching NHS Trust has signed a contract with Nervecentre to deliver its Electronic Patient Record (EPR), underpinning the trust’s digital transformation for the next decade.

At the heart of the programme is a real-time patient record that brings information together across wards, services and hospital sites, giving clinicians a clear, complete picture of each patient and supporting safer, more timely decision-making at the point of care.

Built as a cloud-native platform, Nervecentre’s EPR will accelerate the digitisation of clinical services at Mid Yorkshire, enabling secure access to patient information on any device, anywhere. This SaaS architecture also creates the foundations for continuous optimisation, seamless data sharing and innovation at scale.

The contract was signed at the beginning of February, following a competitive procurement process and NHS England funding. It represents a significant milestone in Mid Yorkshire’s digital journey, and further strengthens the growing community of NHS trusts choosing Nervecentre to deliver modern, connected and future-ready care.

Rob Birkett, Chief Digital Information Officer at Mid Yorkshire, said:

“We are delighted to take a further step towards a single, secure and integrated digitised health record for patients under the care of Mid Yorkshire, following the signing of a contract with Nervecentre as our EPR supplier. The new EPR system will connect every part of the care journey, putting our patients at the heart of everything we do. It will allow clinicians to access patient data at the point of care and empower our staff to provide an excellent patient experience at every contact.”

Nervecentre CEO, Paul Volkaerts, said:

“This partnership represents a significant step forward in delivering the NHS’s vision for a more connected, digitally enabled health service. Deploying Nervecentre will give Mid Yorkshire the power to transform how care is delivered, bringing people together and supporting improved productivity, safer care and a seamless experience for patients and staff. We are proud to support the Trust in realising its digital ambitions and look forward to working together to deliver lasting impact across its hospitals.”

Nervecentre’s EPR will be implemented at Mid Yorkshire on a phased basis over a two-year period.
